Soldier On Dear Friend comes to us from the wonderful land of Brooklyn. They sound a lot like Ra Ra Riot mixed with The Decemberists. They have a rocking sound that utilizes the violin's traditional qualities as well as more rhythmic and experimental sounds. And their songs are "story songs that tell tales of people and times in imaginary worlds."The band has played several shows in New York and Philadelphia, and even opened for Ra Ra Riot earlier this year in Philly.
