I'm not gonna write you a love song

So, yes, it's Valentine's Day. While I'm usually very bitter on this day for being without a Valentine, this year is actually different. This year, I actually have a Valentine -- although I will not see said Valentine because of work obligations, but whatever.

I put together this list over here for my real life job and I figured I'd let the blog readers get in on it too. Here is a list of sappy and upbeat Valentine's Day songs put into a heart-shaped mixtape.

Patty Griffin - Heavenly Day
Barefoot Confessor - He Doesn't Love You
Greg Laswell - Embrace Me
Passenger - Walk You Home
Natalie Walker - With You
Yellowcard - Oh My Love
The Presets - This Boy's in Love
James Carrington - Ache
At the Stars - When Words Won't Come
Findlay Brown - All That I Have

Thank you SO much! I'm constantly trying to impress the special woman in my life with great new tunage, but there are only so many hot singles David Byrne or Peter Gabriel can crank out in a given year. Thanks for these totally decent tracks; I literally have to download 100 shitty songs on Hypem to find 10 good ones. As they say, "90% of anything is crap." Here's a couple sweet songs, "Homeless & the Hummingbirds" by Berlin, and "Blackbird" by Julie Fowlis. And the special lady just LOVES the solo acoustic of "I Have A Dream" by Findlay Brown. Oh, and "Curs in the Weeds" by Horse Feathers. Can't go wrong! God Bless You.
