Sick from holding your hand

All right, I know it's been a while since I've talked, but I've been fighting off a nasty sickness for some time. While succumbing to illness, I've managed to sleep way more than I should be and watching episodes of Simpsons and The Office repeatedly. But I am finally on the upswing and should be up to full blogging strength very soon.

While I was stuck in bed, I managed to watch a god-awful movie featuring my favorite subject: The Beatles. My friend gave it to me as a late Christmas gift knowing how much I like Beatles related things.

I Wanna Hold Your Hand is a movie (directed by Robert Zemeckis no less!) set in 1964 about a bunch of kids from New Jersey who do everything they can to see the legendary Beatles performance on the Ed Sullivan Show.

They all go for different reasons, however, they all act the same way - loud and annoying. It's one of those really horrible movies you can't help but keep watching.

And of course, there were many Beatles songs played throughout the movie.

I saw the Beatles on April 30 1964. I was 9 and my Dad took me. All I heard was the screaming, but I got right down to the fron at the side because my garndmother was a first aid nurse in the theatre and let me stand at her post to watch the show. If you've seen the pictures of the collarless suits and Vox AC30 amps, then you get the image. Wish I'd been able to hear it though!
