Like I need more reasons to go to the record store

As if the Plan 9 record store didn't suck out enough of my money, now they constantly have to have amazing musicians playing in-store performances. Now every time I see a performance, I get suckered into buying the artist's album. And by suckered, I mean liking the music enough to support the artist. That's added to the 2 or 3 CDs I'm already planning on buying while I'm there.

Robert Parker Vaughan, a local independent singer/songwriter from Richmond, Va., played last night while promoting his most recent release, Glitterbaby. He and his crew are touring through every Plan 9 Music store location in Virginia in the next 2 weeks.

Nashville-based pop-rock-dance group De Novo Dahl played this afternoon with their 70's sparkle outfits and infectious melodies. The group definitely tried to get people to dance while they played, although the merchandise aisles are hardly a dance floor atmosphere.
