So I had the strangest dream last night involving someone I was madly in love with... coincidence or fate that it happened on Valentine's Day?
I was in Paris wandering the city (but for some reason, the old apartment I used to live in was there). It changed from day to night in a matter of minutes and I ran into her. The girl who made my heart skip a beat. The girl I longed for for what seemed like a lifetime. She looked as beautiful as she did when I first met her in that class we had (the subject of which I don't remember)
Anyway, as we were catching up on old times, I saw someone I used to call a friend. He came in with his condescending attitude and his attractive girlfriend hanging on his arm. Desparately trying to shove it back in his face (or maybe win his approval), I told him that the girl I was with was my new girlfriend -- in front of her. The guy was impressed and I felt very smug.
I immediately realize what I stupid move I made and apologized profusely to her. Turns out, she was happy that I did so, because she had been harboring feelings for me as well.
We enjoyed a wonderful evening in Paris (I think we were still there) on a horse drawn carriage.
And then I woke up... without her... on Valentine's Day...
In reality, I never knew if she felt the same way and we grew apart as the years went by. Honestly, I thought I had gotten over her long ago. Is this my subconscious telling me I should call her again and see where things go?
