New music? Don't mind if I do

Plajia is a Montreal based, ambient rock band, with diverse influences such as: folk, 60’s and 70’s music, space rock, Motown, contemporary pop music, progressive and classic rock.

At the risk of sounding ignorant or stupid, I can't for the life of me figure out how to promounce their name. Play-jee-a? Plah-hee-a?

Anyway, I'm liking the song "Dummy." It's got a light feeling to it and it's got a great beat. Check out some of the other tracks below.

Dummy
Beautiful Explosion
Beating The Charms

All from their latest album, Beautiful Explosion which you can buy here.

Nicole Reynolds is another name that keeps popping up on my radar. Nicole is from Philadelphia and her latest album This Arduous Alchemy came out in October

Nicole is influenced by Erin McKeown, Eleni Mandell, SamPhillips, Bob Dylan and more. Her collection of songs packs a quiet wallop of emotion and energy.

The Devil Makes Three is an intersting band. I'm not really sure what category to lump them into. But I think that makes it better. Acoustic folk meets vintage blues.
