It's time once again to count down the best albums of 2007. There have been so many great albums this year, it was very hard to narrow it down to 10. I decided this year, it would be good (and easier) to break it up into seasons of when they were released. Let's get started:
ROSS COPPERMAN - WELCOME TO REALITY
I’ve written about Ross a number of times, but every time I listen to his debut album (which has still yet to be released in the U.S.), I tune out everything else and immerse myself in his music. Ross has come a long way from his early college touring days. His music is more succinct and better produced. I see a long career ahead of him.
Fly Away
Shout
MAROON 5 - IT WON'T BE SOON BEFORE LONG
I didn’t expect this album to be in my Top 10. Hell, I didn’t even want it in there. Maroon 5 has never been a favorite of mine. But their latest album is so damn catchy, I can’t help but listen to it. And the more I listen to it, the more I like about it. Be warned: once you start listening, you’ll start bobbing your head and before you realize it, you breaking out the old school dance moves and looking like an idiot. Damn you, Maroon 5.
Wake Up Call
Can't Stop
TRAVIS - THE BOY WITH NO NAME
Now this one seriously came out of left field. And hit me clean upside the head. I had never been a huge Travis fan before but randomly listened to this album one day and have not been able to put it down since. I have fond memories of riding the London Underground all day listening to this album. This is the kind of album you can put on and forget your troubles.
