What I've been listening to lately

Justin Nozuka - Down In A Cold Dirty Well from Holly
This song starts off slower than I'd like, but once it kicks into high gear, I can't stop listening to it. It's a feel good track that you can't help but move along to. This comes from his recent release Holly which I'm eagerly looking forward to getting.


Rufus Wainwright - April Fools from Rufus Wainwright
There's something about Rufus that just lifts my spirits. It could be his charming voice and melodies or his insightful lyrics. Whatever it is, I'm just glad it keeps me coming back to him.




Fischerspooner - A Kick in the Teeth from Odyssey
I first heard this track in a movie trailer to the Billy Crudup/Mandy Moore movie "Dedication," which looks like it'll be stupid but the music sounds like it'll be wonderful. This is an electronic beat moving song and the constantly repeated line "It may be the best thing" keeps me engaged to the point where I don't want the song to end.


Rob Laufer - Open from The Iron Age
I've known about Rob Laufer for a good while now, but never really gave him the time of day. Once I made myself actually listen to the whole album, I'm kicking myself for not doing so sooner.

Dallas, Texas rockers Stereo Fuse just recently caught my interest. You can feel the raw emotion in their music.
