I've been out of the pop-punk rock loop for way too long. It turns out that while I immersed myself into the indie-rock genre and started listening to artists nobody has heard of, I neglected to notice that two of my favorite pop-punk bands (back when that was all I listened to) are releasing new albums very soon.
The Starting Line's latest album, Direction, is set to be released on July 31. There's something about the Starting Line that I can't help but like. Maybe it's the songs of romance and regret. Or maybe it's just the catchy hooks.
Island
Yellowcard is also done with their latest album titled Paper Walls. Due to be in stores on July 17, the album promises to continue Yellowcard's trend of hard-hitting violin-laced punk rock that I enjoyed all those years ago.
Light Up The Sky
I'm actually looking forward to these albums. Maybe I'll stay here a while. Don't worry, indie rock, I'll be back shortly.
