England is calling

Well, friends. I am off to satisfy my inner Brit and enjoy a 2-week vacation in the wonderful United Kingdom. London, Oxford, York, Edinburgh, Liverpool and Glasgow are among the places I will be traveling.

This will be my 3rd time going to London, but first time going outside into the English countryside and surrounding cities. I'd like to know if there are any certain things I should (or should not) see. Any suggestions?

Try not to miss me too much while I'm gone. I'll be back with lots of exciting tales of my adventures. It'll probably mostly be me having tea and scones and acting all prim and proper.

Skip Liverpool and try Newcastle/Durham instead. Glasgow is OK but Edinburgh is the finest place on your itinery.

Well, you can get to see some fantastic Scottish countryside from Glasgow. And don't miss the Jorvik Viking Centre in York, complete with the sights, sounds, and smells of a period latrine... As for Oxford, try your hand at punting!!
