Beer is the reason I get up every afternoon

I need to stop going out to bars every night and drinking. Since I am now in the vicinity of numerous bars in a 2-block radius of my house, my willpower for staying home is quickly dwindling -- as is my bank account. Plus, it is definitely cutting into my blogging time.

I have a good time and in no way am I getting hammered every night of the week. Just every day ending in "y." :)

But I end up paying for it the next morning, so maybe a few times going to work with bloodshot eyes, an unshaven face and a pounding headache will make me keep myself under control. I'm taking tonight off. I need to rest and recuperate.

Crap. St. Patrick's Day is tomorrow. This is not going to end well.

Fuel - Luck from Natural Selection (buy)

i dunno, maybe you should drink while you're young and your liver can still take it, coz the older you get, the longer the recouperation period, hence the less drinking you'll do. and at least you're drinking within walking distance from your house! ;-)

All valid points. Thank you for helping with "my slow descent into alcoholism" :)

HA! "Slow descent into alcoholism" that was good comedic timing.

Although, from experience Andy I will say that people do not really realize how much alcohol affects the liver. And going out to the bars once in awhile is fun as hell but like anything else it must be done in moderation. ;-)

Of course. I agree with you completely, Rachel. I'm doing everything in moderation. It's just harder now with friends going out all the time and close proximity to bars. But I try to be good.

Man Andy I have to apologize for sounding like a fucking mom! I just read over that and yeah I checked my "What not to say in order to avoid sounding like a mom" handbook and it's there. So yeah...I'm sorry. If I could afford it, I would be doing the same thing...Just as long as you don't have an addictive personality... ;-)

And just to clarify: Marcy? You are in no way associated with the "mom" I'm talking about...The kind of "mom" I'm talking about is like an old nagging mom who is fake and controlling. And Marcy you are not even in the same ball park.
