I was listening to "The Pharmacist" by Hot Rod Circuit today and it just hit me. I love the way songs do that. I've never really paid attention to the lyrics before but they were so perfect to how I was feeling at the present moment, I couldn't help but stop and be amazed.
you let me down for the last time / truth prevails / and theres nothing you can hide / and i wash my hands of you / getting on with my life
I've been dealing with people in my life (so-called "friends") who are always too busy to give me the time of day or even give me a second thought. The ones who give you so many rainchecks or excuses you could fill a house. I've been very bitter about it lately. I was wasting my time being angry over how these people could treat me like this. And the fact that they don't even realize it either makes me even more mad.
But I think it's time for me to just let things go and move on. So long, "friend." I'm done being dragged along by you. Feeling bitter about the way things are is no good for me and won't change how people act.
Thank you Hot Rod Circuit.
